Thank you for visiting our site for the Maple Leaf Half Marathon & 5K, which will take place on September 8, 2012! The premier half-marathon in beautiful southwestern Vermont provides outstanding race organization, enthusiastic volunteers, and a fun and challenging romp through the gorgeous New England countryside.

The family and friends of Jay Hathaway are pleased to honor Jay’s memory by naming the race The Jay Hathaway Memorial Maple Leaf Half Marathon and 5K Run & Fun Walk. Jay passed away shortly following the 2009 race, and his memory still lives with us. Jay spent his life working for the betterment of his community. He was instrumental in seeing the Maple Leaf revived; keeping his continuing presence with us is an honor.

This year will be our biggest and best yet! We are recommending everyone consider registering early, as we plan to cap our total for runners and walkers for both races combined at 1,000. Registration will end when we hit 1,000 registrants. We work hard to produce a quality race for you. Our committee motto is, "Put on a good show, show everyone southern Vermont in all its Fall splendor, and send everyone home happy!" So far, the annual growth of our revived Maple Leaf indicates we are meeting expectations . We hope to see you this coming September 8th!
